While most people think of Netscape as a web browser, it also has a capable and graphically rich email program. There are no interoperability issues with Netscape. Netscape 6 is compatible with all versions of Windows and MacOS.Netscape 6 is a large program that may operate slowly on older computers. Mozilla, the open source cousin of Netscape will be a better choice for many people.

Netscape mail requires entries in the Mail & Newsgroups Accounts. Access this area from the Edit > Mail & Newsgroup Accounts menu.
