Entourage for Macintosh

Entourage is a robust email program from the Microsoft. It combines contacts, reminders, newsgroups, spam filtering, with Email management.

Entourage comes bundled with Excel, Word, and Powerpoint in Microsoft Office. Owners of Microsoft Office, are advised to learn about and use Entourage, as it surpasses other mail programs available for Macintosh.

Setup is comprehensive, but easy.

Tools : Accounts Menu

Add new Email Accounts or Update existing Email Accounts from the Entourage Tools Accounts menu.

Choose New, or Select an Account and Choose Edit

Choose create a new account. (If you are updating an existing account, choose edit an exiting account).

Incoming POP Mail Server

Enter information corresponding for the "Incoming Mail Server". Do not change the standard settings for your POP Server, (as displayed in the small pop-up window below).

Outgoing SMTP Mail Server

Enter information corresponding for the "Outgoing Mail Server". Change the standard settings for your Outgoing SMTP Mail Server, (as displayed in the small pop-up window below). Use a port setting of 587 and specify that the Outgoing SMTP Server does require authentication.

Option to Temporarily Save Mail on the Server

The Options tab gives you the opportunity to leave mail on the Incoming POP Server for several days if you wish. This might be helpful if you are traveling, or sharing mail between Entourage and WebMail. We recommend that you do not leave mail on the server for more than a few days, as pictured below.

Security Options: Not Normally Used

The Security tab is normally not used. Don't change the standard settings as pictured below.
